Upcoming Missions Trips

Alice Springs Missions Trip

June/July 2026
Join the team for a mission trip to Alice Springs in Central Australia, partnering with IRIS Alice Springs in the heart of the Outback. Set within one of Australia’s most culturally significant regions, this trip focuses on serving Indigenous communities, strengthening local church life, and supporting ongoing outreach and practical care initiatives.

IRIS Alice Springs ministers in a unique context, walking closely with Aboriginal people from both the town and surrounding remote communities. The team will serve alongside local pastors and leaders, assist with community outreach and church gatherings, support children’s and youth ministry, participate in prayer and evangelism, and contribute through music and creative arts. There will also be opportunities to engage in practical support projects and learn from experienced ministry workers about serving Indigenous Australians with humility, understanding, and love.

This trip forms part of a developing five-year partnership, raising and equipping leaders to return year after year. It is an opportunity to grow in cross-cultural ministry, deepen compassion, develop boldness in evangelism, and gain a broader understanding of how the Church functions across diverse communities — all while serving faithfully in both practical and Spirit-led ways.

PAST MISSIONS TRIPS

Vietnam Trip

“A team of seven from The Gathering travelled to Vietnam for a two-week mission trip in partnership with INC Vietnam leaders Pastor David and Deborah Nam of CLC Church, Ho Chi Minh City.

The team ministered in two very different contexts. In the Central Highlands region of Dak Lak, they visited remote Hmong tribal churches – communities that have faced decades of government restriction and poverty – bringing messages of encouragement, prayer, community meals, and practical support, including the delivery of a ton of rice to drought-affected families near Ea Súp. The team also assisted in a roadside medical emergency, transporting a critically ill young man to the hospital.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the team participated in a three-day Pastors and Leaders Conference hosted by CLC Church, with every team member speaking and teaching to an audience of around 40 pastors and leaders from across the city and surrounding regions. They also joined CLC's youth and university outreach activities, connecting with the next generation of Vietnamese believers.

The trip was a rich first for The Gathering in Vietnam – exposing the team to both rural and city church contexts, cross-cultural ministry, and the realities of serving in a restricted environment. It has opened doors for future mission partnerships with INC Vietnam and CLC Church.”

Nepal

“A team of eight led by Peter Felsch travelled to Dhulikhel, Nepal, to serve alongside Living Faith Nepal Churches, the 8848 Institute for Training, and the Love & Hope Girls Hostel.

Over two weeks, the team delivered worship leader training for local churches, provided ESL training for ministry staff, and taught English to Badi caste girls at Love & Hope using biblical stories and principles. They also ran music lessons, facilitated a sports program for the girls, and conducted First Aid training for church members and local school staff in Sindhupalchowk.

The trip was marked by a strong spirit of service and humility, with team members stepping up to meet challenges with grace. A significant moment for the team was recognising the importance of investing in and equipping the next generation — both within their own younger members and among the emerging leaders in Nepal — creating a sense of urgency to faithfully pass on what they had learned in ministry.”
