Day 1. Pray that as you are start this fast, you will finish well. As God answered Daniel, God will answer you and you will hear God.
Read: Daniel 10 (Whole Chapter). Meditate on: “In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks.” Daniel 10:2

Day 2. Pray for the grace to eat the vegetables, fruits and water for the duration of your fast, and the fruits, vegetables and water shall be of optimal benefit to your body and your appearance shall be better than it was before the fast.
Read: Daniel 1 (Whole Chapter). Meditate on: “Please test your servants for ten days, and let them give us
vegetables to eat and water to drink.” Daniel 1:12

Day 3. Make your personal request known unto your God with prayer, supplication, fasting and thanksgiving. Pray for divine

Read: Daniel 9 (Whole Chapter). Meditate on: “Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes.” Daniel 9:3

Day 4. Pray that your fasting will not be unto men but a spiritual exercise which you do in secret and your Father in heaven will reward you openly and the glory of God will continually manifest in your life.
Read: Matthew 6 (Whole Chapter). Meditate on: “Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. Matthew 6:16

Day 5. Pray for your church as you embark on this fast. Pray that the church will hear the call of God and cry out to the Lord for more souls to be saved through the various outreaches.
Read: Joel 1 (Whole Chapter) Meditate on: “Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly; Gather the elders And all the inhabitants of the land Into the house of the LORD your God, And cry out to the LORD.” Joel 1:14

Day 6. Pray that your church will turn to God with all their heart, with fasting.
Read: Joel 2 (Whole Chapter) Meditate on: “‘Now, therefore,’ says the LORD, ‘Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.’” Joel 2:12

Day 7. Pray that your fast is acceptable in the sight of Almighty God.
Read: Isaiah 58 (Whole Chapter) Meditate on: “Is it a fast that I have chosen, A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, And to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Would you call this a fast, And an acceptable day to the LORD?”  Isaiah 58:5
